Product description

Key features. Innovative material: Duralite® is a composite of mineral fillers, polyester resin and fibreglass. The material is vacuum-injected into a closed mould, so it contains no air bubbles or porosity. It allows one-piece components to be made without joints or sharp corners, providing hygiene, comfort and durability. Strength: with an average thickness of 12 mm, it ensures excellent rigidity and high resistance to physical impact and thermal shock. It also withstands all the personal-care and beauty products used in the bathroom. Duralite®’s non-porous surface prevents bacterial deposits and is easy to clean with soapy water. Insulation: Duralite® is pleasant to the touch. The material provides excellent acoustic insulation, absorbing and muffling the sound of water, as well as thermal insulation that helps maintain a comfortable water temperature. Longevity: Duralite® performs very well over time, withstanding thermal shock, abrasion and similar stresses. It is regarded as the longest-lasting material used in hotels. After extended use, the bath can be repolished to restore its original shine. Technical cross-section of the material. Advantages of Duralite® compared with acrylic and cast iron. Resistance to thermal shock and physical impact complies with NF and European EN standards. The thickness and high density of Duralite® provide excellent acoustic performance in use, absorbing and muffling the sound of water. Saves handling time and labour: Duralite® weighs half as much as cast iron. Saves installation time: its self-supporting shell requires no reinforcement. Repairability: Duralite® can be fully repaired if it suffers a minor impact during or after installation. Why choose a Bluestone bath?
